Whether green, red, orange or  unheroic, bell peppers are  opportunists when it comes to the kitchen. Bell peppers are sweet, brickle and  various. This  triad is what makes them such a great  component to work with. The veggie is good both raw and cooked and can be used in dishes from  numerous different cookeries.

Bell peppers are inversely  succulent as a beating on pizza, stir- fried in dishes like Kung Pao Chicken, sautéed to top sandwiches, and loaded with  paddings  similar as  rubbish, meat and veggies to make stuffed peppers. But figuring out how to cut this bell- shaped beauty isn't exactly intuitive. That is where we come  by. Below, we have outlined all the ways bell peppers can be cut.

How to Choose Bell Peppers

When selecting bell peppers, choose ones that are firm and feel heavier than they appear. Look for peppers that are vibrant in color with a smooth and shiny sheen. Avoid ones that are wrinkled, bruised or have soft spots. These are indications that the bell peppers are old or starting to decompose.

How to Prep Bell Peppers

Choosing the freshest bell peppers is important, but they also need to be  fixed  duly once you get home:

♢First, remove the  yield sticker and wash your bell peppers gently but completely under cold water to remove any dirt, fungicides or bacteria that may be present on the  face.

Alternate, make sure you have a sharp  cutter ready. Bell peppers have unexpectedly tough skin, so having a sharp  cutter is a  must-have. It will also help  help any injuries from  passing. We prefer using a cook's  cutter, but any medium to large  cutter will do.

Incipiently, if you do not have a heavy- duty  slice board, place a wet kerchief underneath your board. This will keep it from moving around when you cut, reducing the  threat of slipping and cutting yourself.

How to Cut Bell Peppers to Be Stuffed

Stuffed bell peppers are a crowd pleaser. Lighter stuffed peppers(e.g., these Cauliflower Rice- Stuffed Peppers) make a great side dish, while others are filling enough to eat as a main course(e.g., these Jambalaya Stuffed Peppers)

Follow these instructions to chop your bell pepper so it may be stuffed.

Step 1

Place the pepper on the cutting board with its side up.

Step 2

Cut off about half an inch of the bell pepper's stem end. Reserve the top if you want to use it as a "lid."

Step 3

To enable the pepper to stand upright on a firm foundation, slice off a small portion of the bottom. Make sure you only cut a very little piece so as to avoid leaving any gaps or holes.

Step 4

Next, run a  cutter along the inside meat of the pepper to remove the core and seeds( you might need to use a  shearing  cutter rather than a cook's  cutter for this task; discard or compost the core and seeds). Your pepper is now  form-ready! Some stuffed pepper  fashions have you brume or  rally the  fixed peppers before stuffing.

How to Cut Bell Peppers into Rings

Salads and sandwiches taste wonderful with bell pepper rings added. They can also be made into mouthwatering Bell Pepper Oven Fries. This is the procedure.

Step 1

On your cutting surface, start by laying the bell pepper flat and on its side.

Step 2

Cut off the pepper's top (stem end) by about 1/2 inch. Save the meat surrounding the stem for another purpose, like stockmaking, and discard or compost it. You may also just snack on it.

Step 3

Slice off the pepper's bottom and keep it for later use.

Step 4

Remove the core and seeds from the pepper by sliding your knife around its interior.

Step 5

Slice the pepper into rings and set it back on its side.

How to Cut Bell Peppers into Strips

Bell pepper strips are the unsung star of many sautéed recipes and are fantastic to eat with hummus or guacamole. This is the procedure.

Step 1

Start by laying the pepper on its side.

Step 2

Slice off the top of the pepper by about 1/2 inch. Remove the stem if it is still connected, then put the rest to the side.

Step 3

Remove the bottom of the pepper by making about a 1/2-inch slice. Set the bottom aside.

Step 4

The bell pepper should be chopped vertically to be opened.

Step 5

On your cutting board, place the pepper skin-side down. Slide your knife around the interior to remove the core, white pith, and seeds. Discard

Step 6

Long strips of pepper have now been sliced. Stripe both the top and bottom that were set aside.
