Step 1: Physical Medical Test
Roughly one month after applying, the roll number slips for the physical and medical tests are uploaded on the ASF's official website. All candidates need to enter their CNIC to download their roll number slips.
The physical and medical tests continue for about a week, with each individual having their own designated date. Each day, the physical and medical tests for the maximum number of candidates take place from 9 in the morning until 4 in the evening.
If someone is unable to attend their test on the assigned date due to any reason, they can participate in the next batch.
Physical Medical Test Procedure
The physical and medical tests consist of a total of 20 points, with a pass mark of 15 or more points.
Firstly, the physical test takes place, beginning with a running test. Officially, the running distance is 1.6 km (1 mile), but ASF covers a longer distance, approximately 2 kilometers. The time limit to complete the run is 7 minutes and 30 seconds. The faster the completion, the higher the points awarded. Those who complete it in 6 minutes, 30 to 50 seconds receive 10 points; those who complete it before 6 minutes, 30 seconds receive 9 points; and those who finish in 7 minutes or more receive 8 points.
Afterward, there is a rest period of about an hour. Then, candidates are required to perform 22 sit-ups and 22 push-ups in 2 minutes. Those who manage to do 15 sit-ups and 15 push-ups pass this phase. This concludes the physical test.
Next is the medical test. It begins with a chest measurement of 32 1/2 x 34 1/2 inches, with no compromise allowed. Height is checked next, and a height of 5.6 feet is required, with no exceptions. Then, your weight is measured using a machine, and your weight should be between 45 and 80 kilograms.
Afterwards, you are sent for an eye check. Standing at a distance of around 6 feet, you're asked to identify letters, numbers, and colors while covering one eye with your hand. If there's an issue, you're referred to a doctor.
Finally, an MBBS doctor examines your body parts. The parts found to fit are noted down, and stamps indicating "fit" or "pass" are placed on your slip. This slip with the total points is sent to you at home.
Step 2: Written Test
Approximately 1 month after the physical medical test, the roll numbers for the written test are uploaded on the website. Candidates need to download their roll number slips and then go to their designated test centers on their scheduled dates.
The written test consists of about 3 rounds, and there are approximately 3 batches held throughout Pakistan. Both ASI and carporal tests for each individual are conducted on the same day, with a gap in between.
The test is 1 hour long and consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each candidate is assigned a unique code represented by colors such as red, blue, green, and white. A QR code is present on each candidate's paper, and they are required to write their code during attendance and sign their paper. The arrangement of MCQs differs from one candidate's paper to another.

Step-3 Interview
Around 20 days to a month after the written test, messages are sent out for interviews. The exact scores or rankings are not disclosed in the messages. Only those who pass receive a message and are selected for the interview. The interview message is sent about 10 days before the interview date.
You are required to reach the designated interview center on time.
Upon arrival at the center, your belongings are checked first. After that, ASF officers assign you an interview serial number at the gate. From there, an ASF bus takes you inside the Kent compound.
Upon entering, you are seated in an organized manner, and you're given a biodata form to fill out.
Next, you have the writing ability test, which lasts for 10 minutes and is worth 10 marks. You are given two essay topics, one in Urdu and one in English, and you're required to write an essay on each.
Afterward, there's a verification process for your documents.
Following that, the interview takes place, which is worth 20 marks. They ask you around 10 questions during the interview. The ASI interview is mostly conducted in English, while the corporal interview is a mix of English and Urdu.
After the interview, you have a waiting period during which you can visit the canteen for food, offer prayers, and relax. Once everyone's interviews are completed, the bus takes you back to the center to drop you off.
In total, the process is worth 100 marks.

The interview process takes approximately 15 to 20 days. After the interviews are concluded at all centers across Pakistan, joining letters are sent to the selected candidates, and call messages are also dispatched.
A time frame of 15 days is provided for candidates to prepare for their joining and undergo a medical test.
